ALSC Meeting Melbourne 24th March 2002

Unfortunately, the Apexi presentation that was arranged for us at the meeting did not come to fruition, despite Barry's gallant efforts to contact the parties involved.  None the less, the meeting went ahead as planned!

With around 17 cars present at the Croydon Hotel, and with the sun beaming down on us, we set out on the car trial devised by the Cruise Captain Steve Howlett and his Wife - armed with nothing more than our wits, and a list of questions and instructions!

The trial took us out through the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, and over the great dividing range to the small country tourist Mecca of Marysville.  As well as trying to find the answers to the questions at hand along the way, we had to contend with some kind of bicycle ride who seemed to have chosen our exact route over the mountains!

Lunch was had at Keppel's Hotel, which is the main pub in Marysville. Afterwards, we continued in a loop fashion over the Mountains to Cumberland Junction where we took a moment for a photo with all the cars together.
We then continued along the very steep and windy road towards Reefton and then through Warburton and back to our starting point.

All in all, an excellent day made even better by the fantastic weather!
