The very first Perth ALSC meet was held
on Sunday the 24th of March and was attended by twenty four Soarer
owners with a total attendance of around fifty people. It
was a great turnout and a fabulous sunny Perth day. The main
focus of the first event was to meet each other for the first time.
There were a few surprises, one being Jason's hot Nitrous fed Soarer.
The event included a quick demo on fixing small dents, a small
presentation from Gregg Holden who is the local WA contact for the
ALSC, some free BBQ hotdogs for lunch and then a really nice cruise up to
Two Rocks.
The feedback from this first event was very positive
leading to questions about when the next will be. Needless to
say plans are already in the making....
There
are plenty of high quality images on this page so it will take a while
to load. Go and have a drink and by the time you come back, you can
scroll through a bevy of beauties....

Here's a
pic of the only two Mark II Soarer's at the event. But look
carefully as you'll see the far one has a Lexus SC430 style
motorised fold-up roof! Apparently only 500 of these babies were
ever made during the year of 1989.
Allan Boon owned this fine example.

This
fine V8 Limited belongs to Sunny. Sporting the unique
"L3XUS" plates it includes custom exhaust, suspension
mods and porting induction system. The presentation of the audio
system in the boot looked the best out of any other example at the
meet. Unfortunately our photographer didn't get a shot of it (So
Sunny if you are reading this send
me a pic OK?!). I think this car probably had the best exhaust
note on her too....

This custom red '93
Twin Turbo sports NOS injection ! (Yep this baby is Nitrous
loaded!), two independent air intakes (one for each CUSTOM turbo)
and 3" exhaust. She sounded pretty lumpy on the way in.
Unfortunately Jason (Owner) couldn't join us for the cruise which
was a shame because we all wanted to see her run. He's currently
selling the beast for around the $32k mark. He has another one
anyway. This was just a pet project to see how fast he can get one
running. And before you ask, NO I did not get any official stats
on the car. Perhaps at our next meet we can have a dyno day and
get this thing detailed out properly.

This fantastic green TT sports 306KW at the motor and 205KW at the
rear wheel. Owned by Ron, the car includes mandrel bent stainless
steel exhaust system, ceramic mufflers (!), apexi computer for air
to fuel ratio control, HKS boost controller, supra injectors and a
large air intake. Yummy - I want all those bits on mine!!! Very
nice car Ron - well done and thanks for all the discussion at the
event, I know many people found your vehicle very interesting.
